I shelled out $500 for an SD I'm driving for a few years so the SDL doesn't get beat at school or during winter.

Now does that count towards "maintaince" on the SDL? I bet I could roll that $500 into the SDL's yearly maintenance budget and write it off...

Yes the SDL has a "yearly maintenance budget", and yep its pretty healthy. Not quite as large as NASA's though...

On third street in san fran there is a junkyard that have many w123's and W201's. most of them are just accident wrecks with low mile engines and great interior's. They only had one W126 V8 gasser that had a amazingly clean interior and only had 35k miles on the odo but looked like a front end collision. the last time i checked almost everything was gone off of it.

Greasy, do you

Happen to know the cross street or name? I think I have heard of this place, but have not seen it. Maybe in the Dogpatch (between Mariposa and like 24th or 25th)? There is a dismantler here in Oaktown, Quoted me like $275. I would like to look to see if I can do any better.

What really kills me is a couple of weeks ago there was an abandoned 240D in my neighborhood with a seat that was not only in good shape, but the right color ta boot. If only I had the nads to start stripping cars on the streets. I have seen a couple with the stack of tickets and orange warning stickers on them. Probably ended up in the crusher...
