Wow! That is so nice, I got goosebumps!

(my '83 is the same color inside and out....just not as "fresh" as yours)

How common so you suppose all that crap plugging the evaporator is. Ever since last summer I have had a theory that the evaporator in my car is plugging with crap. Now I see your pictures and want to rip my dash out.
Sorry for the hijack. Nice looking car!

Every evap I have changed out on these cars looked pretty much just like this one. That is the reason car makers started installing a filter in the a/c system.

Great looking car, did I only see one pic of the engine, that with the head off?
And wow what a clean blue lift you have too!

Good luck with the sale. I hope the new owner visits us here once in a while, too!

To tell ya'll the truth I had alot rather drive the 244k mile 300D or the 259k mile 240D (current daily driver) just because I hate to roll the miles up on em.

This car should be fine with routine maintenance for a long time. The flex disc look good along along with all the ball joint and tie rod rubber pieces. The rear 1/2 shaft axle boots have some surface cracks but there are no leaks, etc... The fan clutch has been replaced since I purchased the car too.

I have attached a pic of the engine prior to the new head gasket.

OK, Looks nie
I was looking to see if the ALDA was still virgin.
When I said "not yet" I was thinking of routine matters, like a valve lash, filter changes etc. My '83 300D has the lowest cost of ownership of any car I've ever driven, er well, my wife has ever driven (I gotta support two 603 engines for my daily drivers )

Anyone want to take a guess at where it ends at? I'm guessing $10k.

I've driven this car I think before the head gasket was replaced. It drove really well and felt very tight and smooth. Great brake action. Nothing in the interior was broken. The sunvisors are perfect, and they work!
I always thought you were going to keep this one. Kind of a bummer.

The car is beautiful Jim. It is the color or the wagon that was totaled before I bought yours on ebay. It will be three years at the end of May and it is still running strong. I'm sure the one you have listed is top notch. Good luck and I wish I could go after this one too!!
