Startron is overrated, I'm back to Biobor. Thought Startron cleared up my tank, added a bit of Biobor to confirm and now I'm going through filters again.
I have decided to just live with the algea, it mostly stays out of the filters if you don't bother it.

I don't depend on Startron to kill critters. For HUMbugs I use ValvTect BioGuard Fuel Microbiocide. It works in hours not days. It's a nasty pesticide. Biobor is made from borate (borax), it works, but not as nasty as Valv Tect.

I'm just going to live with it. I'd rather change filters every couple of months as the stuff dies naturaly then change them every few weeks.
