You have several of these cars so can you check it with direct substitution? There was a good german article on the reconditioning process awhile ago that I thought was pretty good based on my extensive electronic background. Basically it was to change all the electrolyic capacitors out. Seems to get the majority of common problems. Did not bookmark it unfortunatly at the time. I should perhaps be re conditioning them for people if it only took an hour a day on average might be doable. Not a rocket science type device and 200.00 american seems a little much to repair, update and test them.
