Got a 210 before the winter, and had to do the normal 200K car stuff to it, plus a bit. Other than that, not much car work at all.
But we did get a brand-spanking-new garage, 20x29 exterior dimensions, with a 18x8 vehicle door. I'm about to build a 19x3 workbench in the back, hopefully one strong enough to hold up a diesel or big-block american engine. |

Haven't done any repairs over the winter because the space under the shade tree gets pretty darn cold and windy that time of year.
My initiation to the newly acquired '84 300SD was the repair of the windshield drain. Planned repair: - replace front passenger side ball joints (upper and lower) - do diesel purge - change oil/filter in engine - change fluid/filter in tranny - re-seal the windshield with new butyl tape - reconcile loose dead center on the steering by adjusting steering gearbox - replace steering rods and steering shock absorber - replace as much of weatherstripping and seals on windows as money allows - diagnose if injector nozzles need to be replaced ... ... ... |

I pulled and replaced the engine in my 300D this winter. In my fraternity parking lot. In Michigan. It was definatly an experience.
Currently I am working on my veg kit as well as fixing minor mechanical problems, such as the locks and HVAC system. |
