No name cast into it on the outer face between the spokes? Then I am going to take a guess you may have a real AMG Penta, one of the early versions. Ronal has their name cast into their wheels thats clearly visible. Guess its a copyright issue as they were AMG Penta knockoffs. I can not specificly id it to a year or model however. I don't have a chart with wheel id's for the AMG's.

The similar Ronal is the R9. The R9 has slimmer spokes.

(Just jocking) Thanks guys, I measured the wheel bed is 9" wide and the wheels look like plain aluminum to me very light, I also have a set of Ronal’s 9 they are close looking but this set has the holes for the lug bolts more raised than the Ronals and the spokes are wider than my Ronals 9 my Ronals are 16 x 7 so 9” may be a bit wider for a 123 (I think ) am planning to pickup the wheels tomorrow and try it with tire size 255 40 16 ( the only size I have) and see if it works ok on the 123. Boneheaddoctor: the paint on your car is the original paint? it sure looks beautiful. Thanks Sixto for the Ronal site link. Carson356: the shop where they polished your wheels still in business? Is it in SD? I just send my wheels to clean with steam at a car wash, and after seeing the ones from the Boneheaddoctor I will like to have them polished. twr

you are going to find 255/40-16 will not work up front on a w123. Trust me, they MAY fit in back but positively won't up front. I have a set of 1983 AMG Pentas off a 380SEC AMG verzion and 225/50-16 catch the fender lip pretty hard.
