Air Shocks for an '82 300d Veggie Car?
This past weekend I loaded up the Benz with grease for a trip to the Kentucky Derby. I had it pretty loaded down with grease and I thought the rear end was going to drag on the ground. So I'm in the market for some air adjustable shocks for my car if they are available. I did a quick search and looked around and haven't found any yet. If they don't make them what would be a good heavy duty shock to use? Remeber I'm hauling a lot of grease at times and I need something that will hold up for my trip to Utah this summer. Any ideas?

personally i would just put on some good hd shocks and adjust my headlights a bit.
putting on air shocks or spring spacers will ruin the ride a lot more than sitting a bit low in back. imho tom w

If you cannot find suitable air adjustable shocks, and I'm doubtful that any exist, then I'd recommed you consider a custom spring with slightly longer length, or some rubber spacers above the spring that are the thickest available for the vehicle.
A change in shocks won't appreciably affect the ride height. |

Yeah, they make thick rubber shims and spacers. Old world hot-rodders and the low-rider gang use them to jack up the rear end. Try a decent motorheard speed shop in sleeziest part of town to find em. Maybe get some fender well flame decals and side pipes too......
