Thank you all, it's out. I put a vice grip on the end, sprayed carb cleaner, wiggled the plug, sprayed more carb cleaner, wiggled plug; over and over again until it pulled out. Side note, that plug was slightly different then the other five. The shaft part wasn't shinny and the lettering was printed on not stamped in. But they are all Beur. Thanks again, Jay

Now make sure to ream the holes real well so the carbon that was holding that plug in doesn't seize the new plug you are about to put in.

You got really lucky, good work!

Most of the time it seems the plugs snap off, then its time to yank the head!

I realize how blessed I am to get it out without breaking it off. I cleaned out the hole with carb cleaner until all the carbon was gone. I also ran an old plug in and out a few times till it came out totally clean. pberku, I'm sorry, I don't have a digital camera. Thanks again, Jay

Do you know how long (Time and/or milage) your glow plugs have been in there?

I am paranoid that this will happen to me next time I need to change them.

Let me emphasize again the advice you received above to use a glow plug reamer to clean the glow plug holes out from accumulated, compressed carbon. Not only will the new glow plugs heat like they are supposed to, they have much less chance of locking in there again.

Yep, if I owned a 606 you can bet that I'd have that manifold off every year reaming out those glow plug holes.

I think you'd be alright every other year

Does anyone think that running an additive like PowerService may retard/prevent the carbon buildup? I use 8 ounces per tank of the grey bottle in the Summer and the white bottle in the Winter.
