Good MB parts outlet in Bay area for visitor?
Hi
I'll be in the Bay area next week on business for the entire week - everywhere from South San Francisco through to San Jose and Fremont. Staying in Sunnyvale. Can anyone recommend a good, cheap over the counter parts shop as I would like to pick up a set of Bilsteins and maybe some other stuff for my 83 300sd. Those parts are very expensive up here in Canada and outfits like Performance Products want a fortune to ship 'em. And Phil won't sell to Canadians, before someone asks. Thanks. |

Since you are staying in Sunnyvale, let the hotel knows that you're staying there from when to when, and ask whether you can have things sent to you c/o the hotel. I do not think this should be a problem, as once I have meeting materials sent to the hotel I stayed in. A friend of mine had a laptop sent to him this way too. You can then order from Phil or other online stores like ******** Arizona. Good luck.

I hope you are able to get parts thru Canadian Customs, they can be stupid, arrogant and sieze items for tax.

The guys at the airports are much more ornery than the land crossing point guys. Thanks for the tips and I'll go shopping next week! |

When I lived in Sunnyvale a few years ago, there was a guy in the Yellow Pages that would deliver the parts himself. (I don't think he had a "storefront.")
