electrical thingy on trans
I sucessfully busted the little electrical thingy on the right rear of the trans on my 85 300sd.
can't figure out what it is. it's held in place with a bolt, and has a single wire with a rubber boot. wire goes under rear of trans to the drivers side and forward. I'll try epoxying it, and see how it works, thanks karl |

the transmission is currently out of the car, so that's not an option.
I'll just put things back together and see what doesn't work. electrical speedo on that car AFAIK |

It's the kickdown solenoid. The speedo pickup is up higher on the driver's side.
