Oil Cooler

I have a few questions regarding the stock oil cooler setup.

Is it thermostatically controlled?

What is the control temperature?

Where is the thermostatic control located?

Thanks in advance.

Andrew

It is. I do not know the temp setting. The thermostat is in the oil filter housing.

Assuming that your questions are in reference to the "82 300SD, the oil thermostat begins to open at 110 degrees C and fully opens at 125 degrees C.
