Rag Dolls Rolls 180K Today!

Thats right,
Memorial Day today, I wasnt going to take her out because of the rain, but it cleared up, I took her out and traffic was light, so I wanted to get ALL the numbers!

Here she is!

WOOHOO! I want to thank everyone here for helping me and all the posts that have patched and mended Rag Doll along to make her running as good as she does today! My plan is to have her painted by the time the Texas Rally Rolls around!

Did you say paint??????? I need to get wagon painted soon. Looks like a trip across the border, where I can afford a GOOD paint job.

I'll be hitting 240k within about 2-3 weeks at my current rate. I got home tonight from a 73 mile drive with 238,955 on the o'l odo. I'll pass on over to about 239,080 by wednesday night. (based on the distance I assume I will be driving, it will probably be more) I've been averaging about 23-24mpg's at an average speed of 75 to 85mph, with some 100mph stints when I follow people in sports cars for a few miles at a time.

My dad passed 270,000 last week on the '83!!

I passed a Carrera on the way of this little Italian Tune Up. Made him look twice.

I followed right behind a girl in a corvette going 100+ mph for a ways last week, then she lost her nerve and went back in the right lane, and I thundered past her. Her expression was "" as my diesel blew past. I'll bet she had a bit of her ego snuffed out at that point in time (I hope).

And I will dream. There have been more cops out on this particular stretch of highway lately and I too have wizened up. I keep it 85 or below now (like everyone else) with a sharp lookout for them. I wish the USA had an autobahn, we need it even more than Europe does since we have such vast expanses of open land to cross....
