Car runs well now - what's next...

Say, thanks to all of you I got Hansi running pretty well now - it went from a SLUG to a rabbit in about 1 week's worth of cleaning/adjusting. I had to tweak ALDA at the end to improve acceleration from the start - it runs pretty well now.

Question is what should I work on next?! Here're kind of my plan - what you all think:

1) Diesel purge (Moly Lube)
2) New fuel filters after the purge
3) Valve job and valve gasket replacement
4) Glow plug check/replacement
5) Nozzle rebuild (Bosio) - is this DIY or pro? Not sure about 'balancing' them...
6) Patch few rust spots (under the front of the car, rear fender, underbody, few places under the hood - around battery).
7) Wastegate check - though not sure how to...
8) Transmission fluid/filter change
9) Lower pan gasket replacement

Anything else I should consider?!

Thanks,
James

"3) Valve job and valve gasket replacement" I assume you mean Valve "adjustment". You can use that gasket several times but would'nt hurt to change it now. Be sure and wipe all the oil from where it seats or it will leak.

Nozzle rebuild is a DIY job. I wouldnt worry about balancing unless your not happy with how she runs after the rebuild.

I usually change out the brake fluid using Dot 4. With a pressure bleeder its an easy, one man job.

Flushing the cooling systems a good idea too.

Find/buy/make a 14 mm allen wrench and change out the rear differential gear oil. I'm planning on using 75W90 synthetic. Does anyone have any suggestions/advice?

Its easy as pie... IF the fill plug isn't stripped!

The biggest tip is to remove the fill plug first, then the drain plug. If you drain the fluid and then realize your fill plug is stripped, you will NOT be happy.

peace,
sam
