Part number questions...
Two questions about some gizmos under the hood - what are they:
1) 123 070 0046 - this one is located right on my IP - according to the Service Manual it's an Altitude Adjustment box(?!). The shop manual shows how to replace it, but not how to adjust it, though it says that there is a different setting for different altitude (1, 2 or 3) - anybody know how to adjust this thing? It's not obvious... 2) 123 300 1133 - it's got a green cover and sits on the driver's fender right in front of the break booster. Funny thing is that it connects a vacuum-like hose to my ALDA though the banjo bolt - none of the pictures I've seen on ALDA adjustments showed anything else going into the ALDA but on mine it does... anybody know what this is for?! BTW - made an adjustment to the ALDA settings last night (3/4 turn CCW) and the car came alive from the 'dead' - whoo hoo! Thanks in advance - James

The adjustment of 1, 2, or 3 might be referring to the shim/washers available to adjust the ALDA without using the s crew on top.
Look at this and see if you recognize your parts: http://dieselgiant.com/mercedesaldaboostsystemservi.htm
