Check out this thread. I hope that purge doesn't make your injectors leak.

We have had other recent threads on this topic. Does your diesel engine manufacturer recommend this stuff? Has anyone found any diesel engine manufacturer that recommends this stuff?

I looked at the engine briefly this morning and there is some wetness around a couple of the injectors. The car also still has the original hand-pump primer. I've ordered the new style pump, it'll be here tomorrow. I imagine that will help a bit.

Think the Purge could have caused the injectors to leak? Maybe I just need to replace the return hoses?

I used 1/2 or so of a can of SeaFoam Injector cleaner (all that the fuel filter would hold). It worked great and is readily available at the Generic Auto Block Store.

I also liked the results of the SeaFoam Transmission Tune in the tranny of my 2001 gasser Dodge truck. It did a great job of cleaning the overdrive solenoids. (They have a nasty habit of getting dirty and sticking/malfunctioning.)

I got a recommendation from another member here for InterAuto Parts San Diego.

Cheapest I've found online.

Excellent source.
And your injectors will get clean(er).
And they won't start leaking.

Don't worry, it will do something between "nothing for you" and "ruin your injectors".

I think one day a long time ago, some Lubro Molly representative must have stepped on that guy's toes, kicked his dog, slapped his mother, or something. Just can't let a post on purge go by without giving a negative two cents worth. Every time too. Never gets tired of it.

And if you want to see a "free advertising" hijack, they have good prices on all the LM line. That includes the assembly paste, anti-seize paste, etc. Great place for all the juices and pastes. Hey, they could use that as a jingle. (Also check out their Billstein prices!)
How's that?

My injectors are wet around where they screw into the prechamber. Should I be pulling them out and servicing them before I do a Diesel Purge?

are you sure your return lines are not leaking?

wet around the injectors is either poor installation/worn injector seals, or leaking return lines. as far as I have seen so far.
My current daily driver leaks around the prechamber... need special tool to fix. 50.00... the leak is not bad, so I will wait a bit longer.

$5.20 per can. Makes me think DieselGiant is doing a wee bit of price gouging, at $25.50 for two cans.
$14.56 for two cans shipped to me from IAP, compared to $35 at DieselGiant.
It's even worse for the diesel Hi-Test, $3.70 at IAP, $19.50 at DieselGiant. ]

That's terrible, I'm not going to buy anything from DG, if he price gouges this much on one product, how much does he on the rest?

if you want to pick some up locally, look for an import auto parts store. there's a few around the hampton roads area called Bap Geon Import Auto Parts. 10 bucks a can.

Character assasination is low, thanks for letting everyone know where you are coming from. Damn, you even mentioned my mother, that is low!

Support the product, don't attack the person. Refer to the rules of the board, you could be banned for your attack. And you are lying too, how many threads are there in this forum on DP? How many have I posted to? To say every time is a lie. So what else are you lying about?

Exactly which diesel manufacturer recommends this product?

Would you post a link to the before and after pictures, please?
