pwr windows what the heck?

If I lock out my rear power windows from the console all is correct.

If I unlock my rear windows from the console they will go down and up from the console but only up from the back seat switches.

I tried another console switch but still same.

You guys think rear switches are the problem?

Is there another safety switch I don't know about.

This is a 1983 300D turbo W123

Thanks---Steve in Massachusetts

Both sides in the rear?.........

If so, that is strange. From studying my diagrams (W126 which I think is similar), the safety switch provides the ground side for control from the rear switches.

The power and ground, for control from the front, goes through the console switches. On mine they are the same grounding point for the LH rear but the RH rear uses a separate grounding point for control from the front.

Yours may be a little different on the grounds. Check here for diagrams: http://mb.braingears.com
