Denver, Co Veggers?

I'm in metro Denver and trying to find someone here who can be a mentor.
Ideally, they would have a Benz, but at this point, anyone with WVO conversion experience is better than what I have!

Seems that many on the forums are on one coast or the other...... Isn't there anyone closer to home that can guide me???

I'm not sure about being a mentor for anybody at this point - I'm a newbie myself but I'm in the Denver area (Westminster), so PM me or send me an email.

I think your best bet for the WVO or Biodiesel connection in Denver would be the Denver biodiesel club (www.denverbiodiesel.org) - Lorance Romero is the guy in charge there. They have a local coop going - I'm going to be looking into it myself. I want to start brewing my own soon...

Anyway, there is a monthly biodiesel club meeting at Mercury Cafe downtown Denver - (first Wed of each month -looks like Sat June 3rd is the next meet at 4pm) - this time the meeting is at at the Biodiesel coop place that Lorance is running - you should try to attend - you'll meet lots of people with similar interests.

Maybe I'll see ya there.

James

Boulder Finest Mercedes Guru and WVO Guru

Tom Judd at coloradobiodiesel.com can do any type of mercedes diesel work and comes highly recomended. He does awesome work and his prices are very reasonable.
Matt at fryedrydes.com can help with any WVO conversion questions or he can install a 2 tank system. He has acess to plantdrive parts and does very meticulous work. I had him do a greasecar kit for me (190d) and a for a friend (300d) all of the hose routing and gauge placement was super clean. Give them a call they are always willing to help.

Are Tom and Matt up north of Longmont by chance? If so, I almost bought a benz from them, but it sold before I could get up there....
If anyone is looking for lady apprentices, I'm your gal!
Have looked at cooking my own bio-diesel, but have to many furry / little critters around the house. At least if they get into the grease they can be cleaned off and they might puke.... the lye would definately cause more damage!

They work just outside of Boulder if you give them a call they are usually there and willing to help. When I was there last week they were training a new female mechanic on a 300d.

If my girlfriend didn't already have a full time job she would definately jump at the opportunity to learn a new emerging trade of SVO/WVO biofuel mechanics.
