Mounting clips can be found at the dealer. Here's the W123 p/n: 1238900014.

These are NOT the trunk mounting kind. It comes in a box like what what you can get in most auto parts store.

I beg to differ. I have that exact kind mounted in my trunk. The two feet fit into the formed beams in the trunk lid, and there is ONE clip that slides into holes in the middle beam of the trunk lid. The clip turns to hold it in place or release.

As far as I know, the MB specific warning triangles come in two varieties (for 123 anyway). One is the trunk mountables (like these), and the roll-up fabric kind as found in the wagons.

I have 3 such triangles in my cars (2 euro's) and have seen a few others and they are identical. 1 clip is all you need. The two feet fit right in the trunk.

Yeap, you are right that there are two kinds. They are both mountable, but if you have the one that has the flimsy plastic and foldable, then you got the wrong kind for your sedan. The foldable kind (that's shown in the link) can be used for the wagon (there is a slot inside of the side panel for it), but be aware that there are a few kinds (for example the ones for the W123 wagons will not fit the slot for the W124 wagons). If you have the kind with the flimsy plastic, the plastic will eventually turned yellow and disintegrate. Get the correct mountable kind which is the SOLID plastic and not foldable.

Meh

Whatever if its not "completely stock" Mine is a W115. It's German, and if its used by the German military, its good enough for me.

I don't know if there is a mounting area in it for the W115, but if not I'll make something work.

It looks cool, and I didn't have to pay a lot of money for it. Works for me.
