the last couple of days ive noticed that while accelerating past ~30 mph, the motor seems to "miss" momentarilly, then clears up and accelerates smoothly.
any thoughts on what i might check? fuel related?
thanks

Fuel filters, maybe? Do you know when they were last changed out?

No, there will always be a small air bubble. If you think there might be too much air in the system you can use the primer pump to get it out. It's very easy if you have the new style pump. If you have the original style pump, I'd plan on getting a new one because it will probably fail soon.

The new style, which I have in my car, is a cylindrical plastic piece that you simply push down on for priming. It couldn't be easier. I know it's not that simple with the old style; you have to move something or unscrew something before you use it. I bet if you look for the primer pump on FastLane (the site you get to when you click on the 'buy parts' button at the top of this page) they will have the new style, so you can see what it looks like and compare it with what you've got. FastLane is not only good for buying parts, it's also good for seeing exactly what they look like so you can locate them on your car.

The old style is a white knob that you have to unscrew before you pump it. The new style is a black "plunger" that looks like this:
