Will a 300d tubo 5 cylinder swap into a 300sd?
as the title says,can you put a 5 cylinder turbo diesel from a 300d into a 300sd that had a 5 cylinder turbo diesel.are they the same?thanks

yes... if the SD used an om617 and the 300D used an om617

Should be a drop in for a W126 SD. Not sure about a W116 SD. It will bolt up but I'm not sure about little things like sensors and tach amp and such.

I think you will need to keep the mounts from the SD, as the D's engine mounts are a little different.

Ditto, and the throttle linkage may be different along with the oi pressure sending unit.

Agreed, I'm not sure about all the 123's but the oil line runs to the guage. On the 126 there is an electronic oil pressure sending unit.
If you are doing tranny combo, the speedometer is different also.
