Howdy folks

So I am trying to figure out the door lock problem

And I run across the black line - a vent line - correct - solid black hard plastic comming out of fire wall and just left open into the passengers compartment - under the drivers side dash

Just checking

Just supposed to be open and remain open attached to one of the " W" connectors- this is correct ??? supposed to be a constent open draw on a closed syatem - perhaps a check valve or reverse waste gate ???

Thaought I would ask the experts

Yup yup. It's a vent line.

MB has funky engineering to say the least IMHO. Who ever heard of leaving a vent hose hanging on a sky hook but that is the case. I think if you look carefully you have a couple of 'em.

Seems like that vent line comes from a specific place, though, not just from the main vacuum branch. Comes off the IP somewhere...... It is not a part of the main vac system to ACC, door locks, ign. switch, etc.....
