warped tranmission pan
pretty sure i have subject. 83 300dt. new transmission gasket. in fact two. still leaking. new pan at this site is around $80. car with full tank of fuel is not worth much more. is there a 'gasket sealeant' available that i may apply to make up for pan deformation? and no, i am not over-tightening allen head bolts. thank you much.

Wrecking yard pan will cost a few dollars and they'll probably let you exchange until you find one that doesn't leak. That would be worth more to me than layer upon layer of sealant. But if I had to use sealant, I've had good luck with Permatex ultra gray RTV anywhere oil is involved.
