a/c question

If the system is charged and the compressor will not cycle, does this mean that the ECU has failed? Car in question is a 190D 2.2 5 speed (1984). Mechanic said it has adequate charge. Mentioned pressure switch or control panel but he doesn't know and doesn't want to investigate any further.

You can jump the pressure switch to see if that kicks on the compressor, but on a 190 I'm not sure where that is. Someone will chime in, or you can use the search function.
Congrats on the car. What color?
This is in your previous AC post. Jump your pressure switch to see if it failed.
Also, does your tach work? Reason I'm asking, on some of these the AC is somehow tied into the fuctionality of the tach via the Klima relay. I'm just not familiar enough with 190's to know if this applies.
