Look what somebody did now - Ebay '91 350SD

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mercedes-Benz-350-SD-Turbo-Diesel_W0QQitemZ4653787694QQihZ002QQcategoryZ6330QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Dear me, fine to put something on Ebay, but you might mention the

"Aftermarket bathtub handles screwed all over the car"

Probably used for security personnel to hang off the side

Except for the door pulls added to the outside, that is a gorgeous car....wish mine looked half as nice.

Owned by a Veteran, maybe he/she needed the pulls for help....

Any of our Michigan members know this car?

As part of the purchase agrement I would insist that those hand rails be taken off, holes welded up, and car sprayed to make any slight mark left by them disapear. If I can find a mark 6in away from those rails it isn't worth north of $10k to me.

Other then that looks like a clean example, although its a MI car so carefull of rust.

There is a handicap tag on the wagon. Wonder if they passed on?

I see a car like that and count my blessings that I don't need to have something like that on my car.

IMHO, removal of the handles would probably cost north of a thousand dollars in bodywork.

And more comfortable to ride in. He plans on keeping it a long time, and I can imagine there may be a day when he asks me to help him mount a handle on his car...

if it comes with the plates it might be worth the price.
