Need wiring/vacuum diagrams
I'm looking for the following:
1. a vacuum diagram 2. Wiring diagram for the alternator,& speedo, Tac 3. do the older(than 84) have a mechanical speedo or are they all electric, and if they do can the mechanical speedo adapter be installed in the tranny that was electric. 4. I thought I read that the tranny will down shift into first via an electrial signal under full throttle application, is that true and if so does someone have a wiring diagram? 5. does the power steering and tranny use dextron? and I assume the tranny level is checked idling hot in park any help would be appreciated Thanks

You can find vacuum diagrams at...
http://www.peterschmid.com
and more specifically 1984 300SD(s) with 617.95 engines can be found at: http://www.peterschmid.com/1984_617.htm and if it is a "Federal" [not a Calif. car] look at: http://www.peterschmid.com/vacuum/1977_1985/617_95/1981_1984.jpg but if it is a Calif. car, look at: http://www.peterschmid.com/vacuum/1977_1985/617_95/1984_1985.jpg Once you find the one you want, click on the graphic to make it larger, then right-click to copy and then SAVE it or print it. These are not as clear as I would like, but they should suffice. This is a local tranny rebuilder here just south of San Francisco who posts these on his WebSite! Sam // Novato, CA |
