Trans different ,from torbo to non?
Its a question for my coupe ,cant get her going and found a running turbo motor that purrs ,the whole car is cheap so my coupes getting the old switch around once i find out.

New report on the swap ,a ok but the trans wont go out of first ,Im sure I hooked everything up ,any advice what to do next.Motor and trannie out of an 84 300d into a 83 300cd.

The engine and tranny should be the same for 83-84. Have you tried unplugging the kickdown switch?

Ill try that ,thanks.The engine purrs like a kitten,wasnt so sure about the trannie though ,could this be a bad trans? Fluid is up to level .

Does the fluid have a burnt smell? Is the fluid it a nice healthy red or is it brown?

Whoops ,I located an old post I had ,my mistake ,it looked similiar to what my actual problem is now.Thats strange as heck.Yeah ,the trannie fluid is a ok,just wont shift out of 1st,Ill report something back tomorrow.
