Can Rubber fuel line be used...
Can replace the injector hose with regular rubber hose (81-300sd)? My hose at the number one injector is leaking when I try to start it. It just started leaking this morning, I may have stretched it.
This goes along with my other thread about the car not starting...but I did not want to replace the hose with straight rubber if it would cause more problems. Don |

Return lines from the injectors?
MB dealers sell this hose. It should cost you about $11 for enough to replace them all. I think FastLane (link above) sells it too. |

I know I can buy it through FastLane or vendors, but I can't start the car with a badly leaking hose. So, I wanted to replace with rubber until I got the OEM in.
Can I safely replace it, temporarily, with rubber hose? Don |

My car had the fuel line (greenish in color and translucent ) from a weedcutter on it when I got it... It does not last as long a regular MB line or fit as well...but might do a while ... finding hose that will fit is a common problem since no clamps are used... the MB line will go on perfect and last 25 months 3 weeks and two days...

Thanks to everyone.
Hopefully, I can find enough that fits tight enough to prevent leaking, SO I CAN GET BACK TO TRYING TO GET IT STARTED!! Whew...I am wound a little tight over this no-start issue. Don |
