300sdl No Pressure In Cooling System When Hot!
My 300sdl was running for about 3 months perfect, a bit hotter then I would like. There is a coolant leack from the Engine block heater, very small. That crap will go as soon as I get some time to take it all out and plug it.
For the last couples of days I noticed that after I drove the car for several hours in 105 Degrees weather I HAVE NO COOLANT PRESSURE! At all. The car does not overheat runs at about 90 - 95 at all times. Could it be that leack from the block heater? or the cap? how bad is it? It scaries me ![]()

Any leak will reduce pressure in your coolant system however generally a leak in your block heater bad enough to keep it from holding any pressure will cause considerable coolant loss. If your coolant loss isn't that much then you probably have a leak up high. I would try replacing the filler cap first. Of course fixing this leak will make your block heater leak worse so plan on fixing that too.

What are your symptoms of "no coolant pressure at all"????
How did you come to this conclusion? |
