Exclamation 1987 190d 2.5

Today I purchased a nice 190D 2.5. I noticed that i hear compression blowing bye #3 injector. Any ideas/advise to address this issue. DIY of course. It runs strong, good pickup. also I have no glow plug light. I usesed starter fluid to start it.
P.S.

Oh, that's gonna leave a mark....

I usesed starter fluid to start it.

Not a good idea. Seems other's have mentioned bad things like hydrolocking the engine. Turning engines into boat anchors etc. Search will guide you. My 190D is a nice strong runner but tortures me with little annoying things like this. Currently tracking down a/c / tachometer issues. Probably why I love my 240D manual everything (including climate control). Perfect car for simple people like me.
Good Luck

Update!!!

After further reasearch I have found that the area were the combustion leak is coming from is common wear aruond the combustion insert for the injectors. Has anyone ever tackled this job as a DIY before? I have also found a ref. in the online manual about resurfacing the area with a special tool. The car has 169K, and is in great shape. Any idea on how much a shop would charge to do this?
