How difficult to replace seat cover, pad?

For those that have done this task, did you regret it or would you do it again? I know I'll probably need a hogring pliers. I need to replace the seat cover on the driver's back and R/R the seat pad. The thing settles so low that the plastic covers on the side bend outward and squeak horribly.

Thanks

Kevin

I replaced the front seat cushion covers. Streched heavy canvas ( I think pieces of carpet might work even better) over the seat frame, zip tied it place, 2 layers of 1" foam, and new cover. Also did the pool noodle seat repair while the seats were out. I thought it was a great upgrade and worth the effort. Looks and feels so much better. The hardest part was cleaning 23 years worth of crap out from under the seats!

I did not do the backs...but would think if you just went slow and easy you could figure it out as you go.
