New music in an old (looking) package.

Hello all.

All of you who wish to keep their radios
stock looking used to have little or no choice.
This has changed just look here: http://www.strichachtclub.de/c_aktue...euigkeiten.php

Scroll down to second to last article, there click:
Zur Becker homepage.
Click on multi media, then Mexico, then Mexico 7948
and then be amazed.

Just the righ solution for an old problem.

Louis.

THAT IS REALLLY AWSOME. but i have to agree with the above poster that 1900 is really alot, and for $1900 i could easly spend on more repairs for my baby in making her more perfect

That's twice what I paid for the wagon!
"Honey, I just went out and bought a radio. Do you think for my birthday you could buy me a car to go underneath it?"
"Honey......Honey..............."

It looks nice, but heck, shouldn't it?

For that kind of money I can buy an original Becker Mexico and personally deliver it to Becker in Germany for restoration, while my wife and I tour Europe.

That divorce is going to cost a hell of a lot more than the radio, Jimmy.

For $1,900 I can install a navi in the SDL that pops up with a nice screen.

I'd rather install a navi for that kind of money, besides that radio wouldn't look right in a W126. To dated for that car, it would fit right in on a W115/116.

From a sound persepective I doubt that, that head unit is any better then a modern one you can pick up for $100-$300. If you want real good sound spend your money on AMP's.

If you took that $1,900 and spent it on 4 high end speakers,($500) and purchase a nice amp ($500), a modern head unit that works with Ipod, XM, and AM/FM or course($300), you would blow that radio away.

WOw thats a lot of coin, over 3X the cost of Rag Doll...and still less money than I spent on her not including the paint. And that 1900 includes a Kenwood Head unit and Polk speakers! That would be nice to have the "Correct" look tho, but I guess its not THAT important to me.

Good find! Now if I won that mega millions....

I just installed a head unit that flips over and hides when it's turned off. When it's hidden, the black plastic looks stock enough. The LCD radio doesn't, but I could always swap it out for a stock unit if I wanted to make it look correct.

$24bux got me a wired FM modulator with shipping. Works great, listen to my mp3s with 0 distortion. Not quite CD quality but not far off either.

Thanks POS.

I seemed to work fine when I posted it.
There was no mention of price where I found this so
I had no clue as to how much it was.

Yep, $1900 is a steep price and I for sure wouldn' spend
that much but some will.
Hey, some people think that spending $15K or more on
a 20+ year old car is crazy, but yet some do.

Louis.
