Sorry to hear about that. I'm sure you'll get it squared away.
At the same time people can learn from this.
The tranny is often the most neglected part of these cars. The fluid needs to be changed regularly with the filter.

See ya next weekend

Sorry your having problems but on the bright side if you can get her going and take her to the show I am sure your fellow "Benz Brethren" can help with the other stuff. Now dust yourself off and get your butt out there and fix her- your expected at the show.

i fixed most of the issues.. i put some tranny fluid in. after the party ill order a filter and such from my parts guy my temp guage is working but the lil conector is missing a nub so it stays on the male end of the temp sensor.. so i used a hair tie and its good to go.. whats the suggested tranny fluid?.. and i need a piece of leather to wipe the dipstick from now on..

When's the last time you checked your tranny fluid? If you're losing it slowly maybe you just need to keep a closer eye on things. And I assume you checked it after running for at least 15 minutes, on level ground, after shifting through the various modes...even when doing all these things I find it a pain to get a reading I'm confident in.

Well I gotta go (guests), but cheer up young man and get yourself to that GTG!

I used Mobile1 synthetic tranny fluid.
Synthetic is good for cleaning varnish.

not good

well today i went to go move my car and i parked it and notiched a fresh puddle.. that wasnt there before i moved it.. i went under put my hand in it and my hand was pinkish red.. and this puddle was 3 inch in diameter.. fresh!... transmission fluid!... not good!... i went into the engine compartment and looked to see if i could see anything topwise.. nothing up there. i went under and there are drops on the bottom of the bellhousing and the lil grate on the rear part i can see is very wet it trans fluid. also the area behind the bellhousing is caked with dirt and oil.. transmission fluid red...

the other day when it wouldnt shift up out of second i belive it is since this tranny start out in second i was thinking.. it wasnt any K1 or B2 since it was operating fine and showed no signs of failure.. my knowledge tells me that the torque converter wasnt getting enough fluid for it to do its job come to think of it.. could i be right.. is the torque converter leaking? the tranny pan shows no leaks, the coolant tank shows no oil(checked since someoen suggested it because the tranny shares the radiator for cooling.. good idea MB.. not)

i seriously need this fixed since its my only means of transportation to school and work.. plus the party is 6 days away.. ... why o why does stuff like this always happen to me when i need to do something...

I think your front pump seal is going on the transmission. Not good news. This wouldn't happend with a new transmission. You'll need to pull the trans for a rebuild OR just monitor the fluid level and keep dumping fluid.

fix in a can

http://www.auto-rx.com/index.html This stuff has gotten some great reviews on the oil drop forum. Supposed to work in transmissions too. Might be worth a try.
