Clear Tails for 116 300SD??

I'd like to get my hands on a set of clear tail light lenses or front corner lenses for my 1980 300SD....does anyone make them for the 116's???

if anyone has, or can get I'd SERIOUSLY be interested....

The clear lenses didn't catch on until about say 8 years ago.....which is 20 years after the cars were out of production. If you have got $10 grand lying around for molds, proofs, and production time, I know manufacturers in China who could hook you up 4000lb W116's aren't exactly on the front page of Import Tuner magazine....although that would be awesome if it was.

Personally, I would rather be behind a car with red taillights so I KNOW that's the back end of the car as opposed to the front of the car. That's why the people who had BRAINS years ago devised the conventional system.

I don't like clear tail lamp lenses. I've spent enough time behind Volvos and other cars with clear turn signal lenses to know most people don't care what color lamp they install there, just as long as it's the cheapest one they can find at Pep Boys. Watching a bright white turn signal flashing after dark just grates on me.

There is one 325i BMW I see going to work sometimes. He put smoke tail lenses on the car and changed the turn signals to a TINY blinking RED LED. What's the point in putting in something that is the wrong color and nearly invisible?
