When I got my car it idled like a dead cyl but it was just the rack damper.

with the engine rocking and bumping that hard, trying that would be very brave
I tried it on my own sd though, loosened 2 of the injectorlines to the injectors. it still idled VERY decent compared to the car we talk about. I think maybe the timing is completely off (although then it wouldn't run 'normal' at higher rpms) or the pump is screwed. or maybe it is what he says, 2 year old jelly diesel... or all the injectors are clogged evenly and it just doesn't get enough diesel to idle properly. I honestly don't know.
I'm kinda not too interested in this car for that money. too risky. i can do a compression test with a friends tester but 167000 tells me that that is most likely not a problem. it hardly has any blowby. smokes when idling, not when on the highway.
weird stuff hey!?
