Blowby Questions

Is smoke coming out of the top of the oil filler cap acceptable? Like small puffs every once in awhile? I saw a thread on blowby, and I did the "tea kettle" test with my old metal oil filler caps, and it barely moves at all. Car starts fine, and only loses a little oil between changes. Any concerns?

well if you did the tests...

from the other post you should be fine. Your sounds fine if your cap did not rattle. But as someone else mentioned there's not much you can do about blowby assuming your rings are worn other than rebuild the engine, so drive and enjoy. You need to become concerned if you begin to consume lots of oil and it's not from the leaks but rather from blowby, and unless it's a quart every 1000miles I wouldn't worry too much.
