suspension noise 300TD

Hi

I bought a 300TD about 2 months ago. It has 149,000 miles on it. It now has developed a rubbing noise in the front suspension on the drives side. I notice it when coming to a stop and going over speed bumps. If you push down on that side you also here like a rubbing noise. IIt seems to come from the sping but iI cann't see where it is rubbing.

Could some clue me in on what to look at or do to get rid of this noise.

Thanks

Tom

Lower ball joint.
Sway bar bushes.
Rarely upper arm joint but often sway bar to arm bushing.
Inboard upper arm bushing, in body mount.

Or.....you have bad arthritis in your knees !
