Hi all,
Has anyone ever changed the o-ring where the bowden cable enters the transmission. Mine has begun to leak there. I have a new seal in hand and I am getting ready to get under the car and take care of it. I just don't want to break the plastic piece that mounts into the transmission.

For whatever reason, that plastic becomes pretty fragile after 20 years. IMHO, the best way to avoid breaking it is to remove the pan first. Then, all will be obvious.

Thanks for the input. Maybe I will wait till my next fluid and filter change this fall. I am losing a dime size puddle overnight.
