Which mityvac should I buy?

Which mityvac will do all the vac/ pressure tests I might need to do on my '87 300d turbo? Where is the best place to buy one?

I recommend the 4050 Sliverline Plus. It does vacuum and pressure, and comes with a bunch of accessories like brake
bleeding fittings and such.

I made the mistake of getting the 4000 Silverline. Comes with accessories and fittings, but the pump/gauge does not do pressure. Which means I need another gauge setup for measuing boost. 4050 would have done both.

I got a cheap non "mityvac" brand vacuum tester from harbor freight, its all steel/brass, not cheapo plastic like the mityvac brand one, which was $20 more I may add. For $16 I got a vacuum tester, made 100% of metal (its rugged!) brake bleeding accessories, and tubing. It also has a nifty little bleeder valve, and a high quality large vac gauge on it, up to 30in vac measurement. We used it to test the locking system on our '83 and it works great!

They do have the real mighty vac but they have some cheap ass china made one that is identical to the one that sears sells with a craftsman sticker on it.

Just get a cheap one. its a simple device and shoulden cost 50 bucks.

Personaly i have the 50 dollar one and had to return it once already. Its still a plastic hunk of china made ****.
