Squeak, Squeak, goes the SDL
Nobody wants to go to a GTG with a squeak . Using a mechanics stethoscope I isolated my squeak to the lower coil spring compression plate (area). I sprayed some silicone spray and the noise immediately disappeared but then reappeared after several hours of driving. What's the cure for this sound - anyone been exposed?

Just a really thick oil or grease. Something that will wet and continue to wet the offending area with lubricant. Silicone is great for what you used it for but it doesn't last - try lubriplate spray, it's a lithium grease thinned just enough so it can be sprayed through the little red spray can tube.

I was thinking along those lines....but my gut was saying thats to easy. Looking at the suspension diagram I was sure there was going to be some $3 bushing down there that was going to cause me to remove the spring to replace.
