Hello,

I changed my diesel fuel filter and pre filter on my 1998 E300TD and now my car will not start. It did start for about 15 second then chut off and will not start. Anyone have any suggestions?

If you didn't fill the main filter with fuel, you'll have to crank it for a while. Let the starter rest between tries. The procedure is in the owner's manual.

If you didn't install an o-ring on the prefilter, that needs to be installed before you do anything else.

take the big filter off and fill it with transmission fluid..atf type f..

then it will start and you get your injectors cleaned for free...
