240D Road Trip
Well, I just "borrowed" my wife's 240D for a little trip from CO to VT. My 300D is busy having it's IP replaced (long story) and I needed to be in VT this week, so I figured I'd give the 240D a little exercise. About 2000 miles in 3 days, no problems except the cruise control is still a little flaky (needs a new amp). It's amazing what you can do with about 70 horsepower.
The 300D is finished, and my wife is driving it. I need to get back home next weekend and get it back before she gets to used to it, or I'll never get it back. |

COOL, how many other 24 year old non Mercedes cars could be expected to make a trip of such distance with no problems?
Kudos to you for caring for it so well, and to your car for performing so well with such high mileage on the clock! One more reason I admire these cars so much!! .
