Ah, interesting.
Any idea how many W126s had a stick in them? |
A W115 box is also the same. I do not think any W126s had manuals in them here. Perhaps a few in europe.
http://macmerc.eltrakon.pl/index.html This Polish website seems to be a pretty good source of tranny info. Click on English (unless you know Polish..) then "typy modelu" to find your car...then "Szczegoly"... then follow that down to the spinning gears at the bottom ..hit that and voila a listing of all the gearbox options and their ratios. The manual box will be shorter than a 722.3xx. You will need to get creative there. Also, need to come up with a pedal set. Rick |
Good site!
How much shorter are we talking? A driveshaft isn't difficult to come up with. This is a SWB W126 so I could potentially just have the front half of a LWB one shortened. Have to see. Only W126 I have seen are the Euro ones. 280/300s. If I could get some part numbers (have the EPC coming) I'm sure I could order up the pedal assy from The Motherland or see if a W123 setup will fit. |
is the car in question a six?
there are bell housings for sixes but not eights i think. older eights yes. tom w |
