I have found the solution to brake dust!
 

Osborn teflon* dry lubricant!
Wash wheel, spray on teflon...less dust sticking to wheels and what does hoses off!

Slip?
 

Hope it doesn't make the discs slippery causing braking problems. If in fact works, probably should take wheels off first and spray so overspray does not get in to discs if wheels are still mounted.

I was fixing to say...

"soap and water?" But I think that is a given! It drives me nuts that there is such a huge market for cleaning supplies! How many different ways do we really need to scrub the bathtub clean?!?

Same goes for the car-- The best solution I've found is to clean the hubcaps very well and apply wax to them, it lasts a month or so-- as long as wax on the car, and if you need a "touch-up" the dust rinses off easily!

What is this teflon spray designed for?

My 240D hubcaps are a snap to clean, it's those confounded bundt cake alloys on my 300D that never seem to get clean.

I was told that dust shields cause too much heat buildup.
I have been using the wheel cleaners and dust builup preventers but my wheels darkened in 2 days.
W/ the teflon they last a week.

I keep the wheels I care about clean, car shampoo and water works just fine. Quick detail will take care of a days worth of dust.

The wheels I don't care about go natural black. Its a German car thing.:D
