Speedometer Needle - 85 300 D
Being a bit of a perfectionist (I've mellowed from age), how can the needle be made to move steadily as it ramps up from 0 to about 20 mph? My needle swings back and forth a bit closer to 0 and diminisses as it gets to 20.
Is this simply lubrication of the cable? If so how to lubricate and with what?

lubrication may help.
but the cables are extremely long lived. i dont think i have replaced one since my finney. (1962 190c) it could be the cable going bad too. but a little shaking is nothing to worry about imho. tom w
