is this an 85?
the only 2 pics are not very good, but the front lights look too modern for an 85.
also the seller lists it as a 6 cyl, I thought the 603 came out in 87? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mercedes-Benz-300-Series-1985-300-TURBO-DEISEL-4-DOOR_W0QQitemZ200017243604QQihZ010QQcategoryZ6330QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem John ah haa, I see, it is an SD. Likey a typo....I have seen it often where somebody lists a 617 as a 6 cylinder. My guest is that people note that there are more than 4 injector lines so they figure that it is 6.
Go figure.... |

That indeed is an 1985 300SD with a 5 cylinder turbodiesel. The lights are the standard US models for that year. In 1986 they changed to the more 'flush' style with cute little wipers.
I have not listed a car on ebay in a while, but when I last did I don't beleive there was an option of "5 cylinder" when picking from the listing options.
