Opinions on 1984 300TDT Wagon Appreciated

I'm new to the classic Mercedes world and would very much appreciate hearing from you experts on this car that's up for auction on Ebay (ending in about 3.5 days): http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=019&item=290020489378&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

The seller's note about the disappearing maintenance records gave me pause right off. And there are no carfax records worth reading.

Many thanks.

Mark

Seems overly clean.....I can smell the AmorAll from here....

The whole car is too clean, but if it really has that mileage I suppose it could clean up that good.

Need to get some info' from the previous owners .
Would like to see some undercarriage pictures.
Ding on front left fender ridge.

I don't like add-on remote locking though.....usually hack up the wiring.

Ebay is where to sell one, not buy.

The mileage may be accurate. I'd have to see it inperson. Note how the pushbuttons for the windows does not have the white circle.

Could be lots of freeway travel with a broken speedo OR fixed switches. Anything is possible. But I agree, look before you leap!

I don't understand how someone can donate
such a beautiful automobile to charity.
I'm sure it does happen but I find it a little strange.

Man, I would hate to buy any car without driving it. Having said that, this one is very clean. If it is in your price range and you want it, go for it. I'd bet the price will run up more than 9,000.00.

Haven't we seen this one before??
