1987 300D W124 Chassis. How does one replace the balljoints on the control arms? They appear to be pressed into it.
I think may need to replace mine soon.Part # and prices would be a great help. And of course I'll order through fastlane if I can tackle the job myself
Thanks in advance guys.......

If it's like my 123, they are pressed into the steering knuckle. I took it off the car and to a local Mercedes shop. It took a special tool along with the press so the machine shop down the road could not do it. They charged me 30 bucks to press the new ones in. (I did have to leave them and pick them back up later that day.) I knocked the old ones out with a hammer.

While I had it that far down, I replaced the upper control arms, which in my case had the upper ball joints pressed in already, all of the bushings, and tie rods. It was about a day's work for me.
