Possible to Swap Drivers/Pass. Seats?

'80 300SD, manual seats. Drivers seat well worn. Passenger seat like new. Can these be easily swapped?

Yes.

Finding less used passenger seats to replace drivers seat bottoms is the best way
to get the interior up to snuff.

I took the passenger seat of my donor to replace my drivers seat.

The seat bottom unbolts from the frame/mechanism that slides back and forth.

Seat uppers are another story.

beau,

I did it about 15 years ago when I got my '80 300SD to even the wear. Been so long ago I don't remember exactly what I did but I think I took out the entire seat and frame and reversed them.

The knobs to move the reclining seats are on the inside but they still work OK. The arm rest can be moved to the opposite seat.
