I need info on aux water Pump

I have 87 tdt and need to know what powers the aux water pump? It dosen't seem to have power all the time so does it come on when needed? In other words how can I test the car to see if it is working? I know the pump works as it is new but how would I know if it is comming on when it is supposed to? Also which is the power wire Gr/Br or the other? Thanks

Do you have a problem with your heat?

Are you chasing that pump for a specific reason?

The power wire is black/pink,fuse#7....gr/br connects to earth to start the pump.

Well I checked it to see if it was working and it had failed so I changed it. It appears that the pump is controlled by the ccu. It is not on all the time like one would assume

If it works like the 210 system it is on when the CC system is on.
