Don't you just love it when you find.....
Yesterday I arrived home after my wife. I got out of the car and I heard a very faint hissing noise. The type of noise that you do not like to hear from a car. The source was an easy find.......what appears to be part of a shipping staple in the side wall of my E300......grrrrrr. Those Kuhmo summer performace tires (that I really like) have less than 8K on them and now I need to replace two of them as the current tire style has been discontinued, thus so I need to repalce both tires on the axle.

i dont know abut kuhmos but i have replaced michelins with supreceded tire models of the same size and general configuration with good success. i prob would put them on the front though if doing this.
one reason i try to always have five tires of exactly the same wheel and tread in and on the car at once. cut one down and you just put the spare on. then a mismatched spare would be alot less trouble. good luck tom w

I know the feeling. A few weeks ago I got a leaking tire fixed over my lunch. Only a few feet into the shos lot, I pucked up a razor blade in the same tire.
